Pierre Howard endorses David Cooke for Macon DA

(Macon, GA) Pierre Howard, former Lt. Governor of Georgia, announced his endorsement of Democrat David Cooke for Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney. Howard was a crusader against child abuse and crime during his tenure.

“I’m honored to endorse a candidate of David Cooke’s character and experience,” Howard said. “As someone who dedicated many years to serving Georgia families in the legislature – focusing on issues like zero tolerance for drinking and driving for teens – I admire David Cooke’s dedication to his own family in Macon, but also his lifelong dedication to protecting and serving all Georgia families. David will be tough but fair.”

David previously served as Chief of the Special Victims Unit (SVU) for four years,
was a Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia, where he successfully handled the starvation and torture-murder case of five-year-old Terrell Peterson. In addition to working in the Homicide and Special Victims Units in Atlanta, Cooke served as an Assistant Solicitor-General in Athens, GA, and as an Assistant District Attorney in Carrollton, GA.

Cooke is a frequent lecturer on crimes against women and children, and has been featured multiple times as an expert commentator on HLN’s Nancy Grace Show.
